DESCRIPTION:If you’re interested in selling supplies or services to federal agencies and think you might qualify as a small disadvantaged business\, this session is for you.  The federal government’s goal is to award at least five percent of all federal contracting dollars to small disadvantaged businesses each year as part of the SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program.  Joining the 8(a) program makes your business eligible to compete for the program’s set-aside contracts and helps provide a level playing field for small businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantaged people or entities. \nIn this online session\, presenter Lesa Steele with REI Native American Business Center will discuss: \n\n    Benefits of SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program\n    Qualifications and Eligibility\n    How to begin the certification process\n\nWe’ll have plenty of time for Q&A with the presenter at the end of the session\, so come ready with your questions! \nPresenter: Lesa Steel\, REI Native American Business Center Coordinator \nWorkshop Provided by: REI Women’s Business Center \nFunded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
