Prior to that\, he was an assistant professor at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. His research mostly focuses on corporate and consumer bankruptcy\, and he has published articles in several of the leading academic journals. \nBen received his Ph.D. in Business Economics from Harvard University and his undergraduate degree in economics from BYU. He also worked as an assistant economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
