SUMMARY:Becoming A Better Borrower
DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\nTopics to be covered are potential sources of financing; what lenders look for in a loan applicant; what a credit score is and why it matters; what’s included in a loan application\, including more on the importance of a Strategic Plan and solid cash flow projections; and avoiding predatory lending practices. \nWhen considering possible sources of business funding\, you need to be aware of limitation of financing sources in rural areas\, and seek opportunities from lenders outside of the communities \nInstructor: \nKrishin Thadani\, Small Business Administration (SBA) Outreach and Marketing Specialist. Mr. Thadani has worked for the SBA in the Springfield MO branch since May of 2021. Prior to federal service\, Thadani was a commercial lender with a community bank. He has originated commercial loans and leverages this experience to assist lenders and small businesses to access capital. Thadani served in the US Army as an airborne infantryman with multiple overseas deployments.
