DESCRIPTION:NOTICE  – Choctaw Tribal Members who own a business in or reside in the 10½ Choctaw Counties may be eligible for a Choctaw Small Business Development Scholarship to pay for this training workshop. To qualify for the Choctaw Business Training Scholarship\, please contact Gina Hamilton – ghamilton@choctawnation.com – 580-924-8280 ext. 4213 to provide your date of birth for Choctaw Tribal Membership verification purposes. Upon verification\, you will be notified. \nBring your lunch and join us to talk about branding your business on social media. Content has never been more important\, yet many brands that engage with customers across multiple channels don’t have a content strategy that aligns their initiatives with their brand. In this workshop you’ll be introduced to the core of successful branding\, creative techniques to employ when crafting your brand\, examples of successful brands\, and we will work through creating a content strategy you can take away to promote your brand. \nPresenter: Kelby Owens and Marla Herndon\, REI Oklahoma \nPartners: OKSBDC\, Durant Chamber\, Durant Main Street\, Choctaw Nation and REI Women’s Business Center. \nYou will be redirected to PayPal to pay for registration. Upon verification\, you will be notified. \nIn this hands-on session you’ll learn to create your own video marketing for your business.  You’ll learn about the volume of video being consumed online as well as essential tips and tools for producing and editing your own videos. \nOther topics to be covered include:\n–  Video topic ideas and how to generate content so we move beyond the pitfall of hard selling and learn to keep the audience involved\n–  Where to use your videos\, from social media to YouTube to your website\n–  Participants will have the opportunity to record their own “trial run” video to get experience and feedback! \nThere will be plenty of time for Q&A with the instructor and hands-on practice! \nPresenter: Stephen Koranda\, CDME\, CTA\, is a 20-plus year marketing professional. Koranda is Principal and Sr. Consultant for Back To You Marketing\, a marketing agency and tourism consultancy firm based in Norman\, Oklahoma\, that counsels small businesses on their marketing initiatives to grow their business. Koranda speaks regularly on marketing\, sales\, social media\, email marketing\, and customer service.
