She developed an ambitious new curriculum in entrepreneurship and business writing at UNC-Chapel Hill\, Penn State\, and for Yale’s summer programming. Thereafter\, Dr. Lankford acted as Director of Innovation at Mercer University\, Georgia’s oldest private university. At Mercer\, Dr. Lankford built and launched an innovation center to house a newly developed startup incubation program to stimulate economic development in Middle Georgia. Dr. Lankford also draws upon a wealth of global and cross-industry business experience\, including having worked at Google and in executive development. She runs her own consulting company and has coached clients\, worked\, and traveled extensively around the world. The session provides overviews of: \n\nCommon startup questions\nBusiness Structures\, Licenses & Permits\nHow to register a business in Oklahoma\nFinancing a business\nPreparing a business plan\nBasics of marketing and easy ways to market a business\n\nUpon completing the class you will have the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one appointment with a business counselor in our office. We do not charge anything for our one-on-one sessions\, the class is $20. \nPresenters: Dewey Brandon\, Oklahoma Tax Commission; REI Oklahoma Representatives \nPartners:  Durant Area Chamber of Commerce\, OKSBDC\, Durant Main Street\, OSU Extension\, Choctaw Nation\, Imagine Durant\, and REI Women’s Business Center \nYou will be redirected to PayPal to pay for registration. Fee is non-refundable. If you cannot attend\, your registration may be able to be transferred to another workshop. \nFunded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.
