Presenter: Jennifer McGrail is a powerhouse executive with vast experience in tech-fueled economic progress and ecosystem cultivation. Jennifer, currently at the helm of the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST), knows all too well the vital role innovation plays in society and the subtle ways our environment contributes to imposter syndrome.
Navigating the sometimes-murky waters of fiscal activities, program oversight, and team management, Jennifer guides OCAST to foster and fund Oklahoma’s science, tech, and innovation endeavors for a prosperous future. Be it through supporting start-ups, funding Research & Development, cultivating innovative partnerships, or allocating start-up capital, OCAST is instrumental in diversifying Oklahoma’s economy and working to create new industries and opportunities.
Before her journey at OCAST, Jennifer was the driving force behind AXIS Powered by Francis Tuttle, aiding innovative and disruptive companies to launch and flourish. She guided pre-accelerator and incubator clients to secure over $10 million in funding during her time at AXIS.
An active participant and chair in various industry organizations. Jennifer is also a board member for i2E, the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance, and serves on the President’s Advisory Council for the University of Central Oklahoma. Her past roles include being Chair of the Oklahoma Venture Forum, President of the Oklahoma Business Incubator Association and creating the Launch OKC Metro collaboration.
A proud alumnus of The University of Tulsa and Cameron University, Jennifer’s passion for economic development remains as vibrant as ever.
