Responding to RFP/RFQs

This session will cover the ins and outs of a procurement solicitation along with how to respond effectively.

• Overview of the different types of solicitations:
  • NOFO (Notice of Funding Opportunity): Announces an assistance (grant or cooperative agreement) opportunity.
  • RFI (Request for Information): Formal process for gathering information from potential suppliers of a good or service.
  • RFP (Request for Proposal): Announces an acquisition (contract) opportunity.
  • RFQ (Request for Quote): Solicitation to contractors and suppliers to submit price quotes for a particular good or service.
  • Sources Sought: A notice to solicit interest in a project under consideration.
